Thank You For 500+ Downloads! (+ Progress-Update)
Thank You
I am thrilled to announce that we have reached an exciting new milestone this week, as Aftertaste Part 1 has now been downloaded over 500 times! Thank you so much!
In the last devlog, I had announced that there would be no more updates until the full release, but this opportunity was very hard to let slip by 😅 This is the first of my games to have been played by that many people after all.
We have been continuing our work on the full game in the meantime. Currently, we are both working on additional assets for Day 1 and Day 2, as well as implementing the yet unreleased Day 3. Let me reward your support with a sneak peek of our first CG by Hirnfresser!
Development Progress
I am in the middle of implementing a new feature that players will be able to use from Day 3 onward. You will be able to use items in your inventory to interact with the environment. I originally planned a menu-based approach for this interaction but eventually dropped it for something more intuitive:
The way you interact with the inventory will change a little. Instead of opening the item's description with a left click on the item, you will now pick it up to use it on a hotspot. The item description will be opened via a right click going forward. This feature is still a work in progress and may be subject to changes further down the road.
What do you think of this feature? Please let me know in the comments!

Yeah when it comes to opening the item description i think opening it via right click will feel more natural. Excited to see the rest of this game, the current version was so interesting. And boy let me tell you is that man fine! And dangerous, but isn't that the best kind lol.
